Privacy/support contact: support@alkensdevelopment.ch
This notice covers the publicly purchasable, paid ReqBridge Team beta. It supplements the general ALKENS Development website privacy policy. If the two conflict for this product, the more specific and more protective description should be applied until the owner resolves the conflict.
1. Summary
ReqBridge Team is local-first. Workspace content is normally stored on infrastructure chosen and controlled by the purchasing organization. ALKENS Development does not routinely receive that workspace content.
ALKENS Development and its payment processor, Stripe, process the personal and payment data needed to sell, deliver, licence, and support the product. Checkout is handled by Stripe; ALKENS Development does not receive or store full card numbers.
2. Roles
Customer-controlled workspace data
The purchasing organization determines why and how it processes names, roles, requirements, tickets, activities, dates, chat messages, attachments, comments, audit events, and other workspace content. It controls the devices, local/shared storage, users, LAN peers, optional SMTP provider, retention, and backups. The organization is responsible for providing any notices and permissions required for its personnel and content.
ALKENS Development does not become the routine controller of this workspace content merely by supplying the software. If the organization asks ALKENS Development to inspect content for support, the parties must minimize/redact it and clarify any additional role or instructions before transfer.
ALKENS Development checkout, billing, and licence administration data
ALKENS Development is responsible for the personal data it uses to sell, deliver, license, and support the product, including checkout, billing/subscription, license issuance, download delivery, and support and incident handling.
3. Data processed
Depending on how the Customer purchases and uses the product, this may include:
- name, organization, billing address, business email, and contact details entered at checkout;
- payment, billing, subscription, invoice, and transaction identifiers processed by Stripe (Stripe's own privacy notice governs card-number handling; ALKENS Development does not receive or store full card numbers);
- order ID, purchased edition/tier, seat allowance, price paid, currency, tax treatment, and renewal/cancellation status;
- terms/privacy version, document hash, and acceptance timestamp recorded at checkout;
- preferred communication language and the separate status, source, and timestamp of any optional release-announcement consent or withdrawal;
- issued licence key metadata (edition, seat allowance, validity period) and licence activation/renewal events;
- protected-download access records: requested file, timestamp, user agent, IP address, and download-token status;
- support messages and attachments voluntarily sent by the Customer;
- diagnostic logs, screenshots, exports, or reproduction data the Customer chooses to provide after redaction;
- incident reports, affected release, technical observations, containment, and communications;
- voluntary feedback.
4. Purposes
ALKENS Development uses this data to:
- process payment and deliver the purchased licence and software;
- document agreement to the applicable terms;
- issue, verify, renew, and where necessary revoke licences;
- provide and secure the protected download and update path, and prevent unauthorized redistribution;
- provide support and reproduce defects;
- manage security, privacy, billing, data-integrity, and availability incidents;
- send renewal reminders, payment-failure notices, and order/licence confirmations;
- send essential security and compatibility notices needed to operate or protect the purchased product;
- send optional product-release announcements only where the purchaser separately opts in, and maintain an opt-out suppression record;
- improve the product and documentation using feedback;
- comply with tax, accounting, and other mandatory legal obligations, and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
5. Legal grounds
Depending on applicable law and context, processing is based on performing the purchase contract with the Customer (including billing and renewal), compliance with legal obligations (including tax and accounting), legitimate interests in securing and improving the product and preventing fraud/abuse, and consent where consent is specifically requested. The purchasing organization remains responsible for the legal grounds applicable to its own workspace content.
6. Local and optional data flows
Local workspace
Workspace records are stored in the local SQLite workspace/database and customer-controlled files/storage. External transfer does not occur merely because a record is created locally.
Stripe checkout and billing
Checkout, payment, subscription, and billing are processed by Stripe. Stripe processes card and payment data directly; see Stripe's own privacy notice. ALKENS Development receives order, transaction, subscription, and webhook identifiers from Stripe, not full card numbers.
Infomaniak hosting and fulfillment
The public product page, checkout initiation, protected download delivery, and the license/order fulfillment database are hosted on Infomaniak infrastructure selected and controlled by ALKENS Development. Infomaniak necessarily processes technical connection data such as IP address and request metadata for these services.
LAN peer synchronization
If the administrator enables and approves LAN peers, workspace changes may be shared between customer-controlled peer devices. The customer decides which peers are paired, must revoke peers that are no longer trusted, and is responsible for its network and recipients.
Transactional email
Order confirmations, licence keys, renewal reminders, and payment-failure notices are sent through ALKENS Development's configured SMTP/email delivery provider. If the administrator additionally configures SMTP within the desktop application, recipient addresses and email content it chooses to send are sent to that customer-selected provider; its privacy terms apply.
Optional product-release announcements
Product-release announcements are optional and are not bundled into acceptance of the sale terms. The checkout box is not preselected. A purchaser may change the preference in My Account or use the free unsubscribe link in each release announcement. Withdrawing this preference does not stop order, payment, licence, security, or essential compatibility notices.
Automated customer notifications use an idempotent server-side queue on the Infomaniak-hosted ReqBridge service. It stores the recipient address, message type, delivery state, retry count, scheduled and delivery timestamps, a limited error summary, and the message needed for delivery. It does not copy local workspace users or workspace content.
Security audit data
Application security-audit records are retained in the customer-controlled workspace for the configured 180-day period. Passwords, session tokens, SMTP credentials, full licence keys, and signing keys must not be placed in those audit records.
7. Recipients and service providers
Data may be accessible to:
- authorized ALKENS Development personnel handling sales, billing, licensing, or support;
- Stripe, for payment processing, billing, subscriptions, fraud prevention, and related services;
- Infomaniak, for hosting, the product page, protected downloads, and the fulfillment database;
- the email/SMTP provider used for order confirmations, licence delivery, and renewal notices;
- customer-selected SMTP providers and customer-approved LAN peers for flows the customer enables within its own installation;
- authorities, tax/accounting advisers, or legal advisers where disclosure is required by mandatory law or necessary to establish, exercise, or defend claims.
ALKENS Development does not sell checkout, billing, or licence administration data.
8. International access and transfers
Stripe, Infomaniak, email/support providers, or customer-selected services may process data in Switzerland, the EEA, or other countries in which the relevant provider operates. Before adding a new provider, the responsible party must assess the destination, provider terms, and any required safeguards. This product does not authorize ALKENS Development to upload customer workspace content to a new cloud provider.
9. Retention proposal
Unless mandatory law, an active incident, an open dispute, or a legal/tax obligation requires longer retention:
- order, invoice, and licence-issuance records: retained for the statutory accounting/tax retention period applicable in Switzerland, then deleted or anonymized;
- checkout terms/privacy acceptance evidence: retained for the licence term plus 24 months;
- routine hosting/download security logs under ALKENS Development control: target deletion or anonymization within 90 days;
- notification message bodies and delivery errors: target deletion or anonymization within 90 days after successful delivery or final failure; aggregate operational delivery metadata may be kept for up to 12 months;
- release-email consent and withdrawal evidence: retained while the address remains in use and as long as reasonably required to demonstrate and honour the preference;
- support correspondence and supplied diagnostics: delete or anonymize within 12 months after the request is closed;
- security/privacy/billing incident records: retained for 5 years after closure;
- voluntary feedback: retained in non-identifying form where reasonably possible.
Customer workspace and audit-record retention remains controlled by the customer, except for the application's documented 180-day audit setting.
10. Security and minimization
ALKENS Development and customers should:
- redact secrets, personal data, customer names, internal URLs, LAN addresses, and full licence keys before support transfer;
- send only the minimum diagnostic material needed;
- restrict downloads using the protected, time/count-limited download token and verify SHA-256/Ed25519 metadata;
- avoid email for passwords, private keys, tokens, or unredacted databases;
- restrict access to order/billing/support/incident records to authorized personnel;
- delete local copies when no longer required;
- maintain tested backups and an incident contact.
No security control or beta disclaimer guarantees that loss or unauthorized access cannot occur.
11. Rights and requests
Subject to applicable law, individuals may request information about ALKENS-controlled personal data and request correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or a copy where available. Contact support@alkensdevelopment.ch. Identity may be verified before disclosing data. Some order, invoice, and tax records cannot be deleted before the end of mandatory statutory retention periods.
Customer personnel should first direct requests about workspace content to their purchasing organization, because that organization controls the workspace. Swiss individuals may contact the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner.
12. Data incidents
Report suspected exposure, unauthorized access, wrong-account data, payment/billing anomalies, lost licence-administration records, or support-data disclosure immediately to support@alkensdevelopment.ch. Include only necessary details and do not email secrets, card numbers, or full licence keys.
ALKENS Development will assess containment, affected data/people, recovery, and any mandatory notification. A contractual liability limitation does not remove statutory breach duties.
13. Changes and account/subscription end
Material changes to this notice will receive a new version/date and will be provided before they apply. Continued purchase or renewal will not be treated as acceptance where affirmative acceptance is required. When a subscription ends and is not renewed, ALKENS Development retains order/billing/licence records per Section 9 and does not delete the customer's local workspace content; the customer remains responsible for exporting, backing up, retaining, or deleting its own workspace content.
